July Update 2013
We have had a very busy few weeks, with many pupils from St Andrew’s Prep School and students from the Senior School doing very valuable work at the project.
They have been making games and books for the TCP children; helping to decorate the new building; designing and making items of furniture and storage; interviewing members of the TCP Volunteer Team; designing and painting display boards for the entrances of the project; using their IT skills to design an eye-catching new logo and producing an up to date leaflet that you can download and print off to promote the work of Turi Children’s Project in your church or community.
WHAT CAN I DO?
You can help and support us. Please read the ‘How Can I Help?’ section to get further involved..
Download and print the new leaflet and use it to promote TCP in situations appropriate to you and you sphere of influence.
Pray for the work of the project. Current prayer requests are:
- for the individual children in the project that we may be guided to know how best to help with specific needs
- for our new social worker, Sarah, and team members as they visit needy families and assess their problems and how we can help
- for the TCP Team as they work each day planning and running the programme and cooking the daily meal
- for funds to complete the building and equip it to meet our needs
